Each Lounger comes unfilled (cover only) unless ordered with filling, and features two cotton inserts with child safety zips that require a paper clip to unlock. When it’s time to clean, just remove the cotton inserts and throw the covers into the washing machine.

It takes approximately 150 litres of bean bag filling to fill a single lounger.We recommend choosing a sustainable filling like envee beans which are 100% plant-based, and made here in Australia. You can also buy standard polystyrene beans from all major retailers (Kmart, Big W, Target, Spotlight).
Filling Guide
1. Phone a friend – filling a bean bag is a 2-person job.
2. Grab the cotton insert and open the safety zips using a safety pin.
3. Plug a dry and empty bathtub or go to an enclosed area to contain any spillage when filling the lounger.
4. Fill the base compartment of the cotton insert first with approx 110L of bean bag filling.
NOTE: When you have filled the cotton insert halfway, we suggest inserting it into your lounger and then complete the filling process. The current design does not allow the cotton insert to fit through once it is completely filled, and this may cause damage to your zipper.
5. Once the base is complete fill the smaller backrest component in the same manner with the remaining approx 40L bean bag filling (again moving the cotton insert into the lounger once it's halfway filled). We think it's perfect like this, which is not tight but not unfilled either.
6. As you are filling, pause to close the zip and gently shake the beans into place, then re-open and repeat until full.
EXTRA FILLING TIPS:
- A large funnel and a jug may be helpful for pouring the filling into the opening.
- Over time, the beans will condense and you may wish to top it up.
- We know 10L here, or there doesn’t seem like much, but in these small kids beanbags it's amazing how much of a difference it makes and that's why we recommend 40L in the backrest and 110L in the base.
